P3 Protect – Permanent Concrete Protection
P3 Protect is a spray-applied, penetrating concrete treatment that uses advanced colloidal silica technology to permanently improve durability, reduce permeability and protect concrete against moisture, salt, freeze–thaw cycles and environmental exposure. P3 Protect penetrates deeply into the concrete capillaries and reacts with free alkalis to form additional calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H), strengthening the concrete matrix internally.

Because P3 Protect works inside the concrete rather than forming a surface film, it leaves no membrane, will not peel or wear off and remains fully compatible with coatings, epoxies, overlays and adhesives. It functions as both a curing aid and long-term protection system for industrial, commercial, agricultural and residential applications.

Key Benefits

• Increased resistance to salt, moisture and freeze–thaw cycles
• Reduced permeability and absorption
• Stronger, more durable slab surfaces
• Fast turnaround — walkable in 1 hour and equipment-ready in 24 hours
• Permanent internal protection that will not wear off or peel
• Safe for use on both fresh concrete and existing concrete after proper prep

Where P3 Protect Is Used

Industrial & Commercial

• Shops, warehouses and manufacturing floors
• Parking decks, ramps and loading areas
• Sidewalks, plazas and exterior slabs
• High-traffic staging zones

Agricultural

• Feed storage pads
• Barn alleys and manure lanes
• Mangers, feed bunks and parlour areas
• Outdoor farm slabs exposed to salt, ammonia, moisture and waste acids
• Equipment pathways and exposed concrete surfaces

Residential

• Driveways and walkways
• Garages and basements
• Patios and pool decks
• Areas exposed to winter salt, de-icers and freeze–thaw cycles

Why Choose P3 Protect?

Permanent internal protection — not a surface sealer
• Excellent resistance to moisture, chlorides, salts and freeze–thaw deterioration
• Improves long-term slab performance and durability
• Compatible with coatings, overlays, epoxies and adhesives
• One-time application for the life of the concrete
• Works on fresh concrete during placement or existing concrete after preparation

Performance (Typical Lab Results)

  • Chloride diffusion – ASTM C1556:
Approximately 42% improvement in bulk chloride diffusion

  • Freeze–thaw durability – ASTM C666:
Approximately 78% improvement in resistance to freeze–thaw damage

  • Abrasion resistance – ASTM C1803:
Approximately 40% improvement in abrasion/dusting resistance

These improvements support long-term durability in salt-rich, wet, and freeze–thaw environments including exterior slabs, parking structures, agricultural concrete, and residential driveways/walkways.

Coverage varies with surface profile, porosity, finishing method, and application conditions.

General:

  • Low–medium pressure sprayer

  • Fan tip: 0.019–0.021 in (standard) or 0.024–0.031 in for open/broom surfaces

  • Spray 6 in (15 cm) off the surface

Notes:

  • Do not apply on frozen substrates

  • Remove from glass, aluminum, and shiny metals before drying
